MISSION STATEMENT

Common Ground will provide a common space for academic, cultural, and personal enrichment for all community members.

DESCRIPTION

Common Ground will be a non-profit ice-cream and coffee shop, with all profits used to fund college scholarships for local high school seniors. Common Ground will provide community members with a place to gather, access the internet, study, and attend weekly programs including: free ACT/SAT/LEAP study sessions, parenting classes, and cultural events.

RATIONALE

Franklin, Louisiana offers very few places for community members, and youth in particular, to gather for the expressed purpose of personal enrichment. Although Common Ground will sell ice-cream and coffee, its primary purpose is to create an inclusive space for community enrichment.

HOURS OF OPERATION

Common Ground will operate Monday through Thursday from 4-10 p.m., Friday 4 p.m.-midnight, and Saturday 11 a.m.-midnight.
